Parliamentarian Patali Champika Ranawaka, the leader of the United Republic Front, has accused the Janata Vimukthi Peramuna of bringing sexual violence to the public universities where the children of the innocent people of the country can get higher education for free and causing parents and children to fear to attend the public universities.
Accordingly, he alleges that the establishment of private universities happened rapidly and that the children of many members of the JVP politburo who are responsible for it have gone to private universities for higher education and that they have left only tear gas for the children of the innocent people of the country.
Mr. Champika Ranawaka said this while addressing the Kandy district public meeting held for the 2024 presidential election.
