The second school term of 2026 in government and government-approved private, Sinhala and Tamil schools began today (20).
The second phase of the first school term ended on April 10 and holidays were granted until April 19 in conjunction with the Sinhala and Tamil New Year. This second school term will continue until Friday, July 24, 2026.
The fourth phase of the first school term of all Muslim schools will also begin today.
