Sajith warns Lal Kantha.

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa says that the immoral and vulgar statements made by certain MPs and ministers targeting the Buddhist Sangha and the Maha Sangha should be stopped immediately and legal action should be taken in this regard.

The Opposition Leader made this statement in particular in response to the recent statements made by Minister Lalkantha regarding the Sangha and religious leaders.

Sajith Premadasa, who strongly criticized the statements made in political platforms that refer to the Maha Sangha as savages and that religious leaders should be given Bruce Lee-style blows, emphasizes that such statements are very low.

The Opposition Leader says that Bruce Lee’s activities should be shown in karate tournaments and not against the Maha Sangha or the clergy in this country and that the government should immediately implement the law regarding such vulgar statements that insult religious leaders.

Stressing that Sri Lanka is not a secular country, Sajith Premadasa stated that it is the responsibility of a government to protect and promote the Buddha Sasana according to the Constitution
