Russian attack kills 27 in Ukraine

Russian drone and missile strikes on Ukraine have killed 27 people, foreign media reports say. In addition, nearly 80 people are said to have been injured in the attack.

The attacks came hours before a ceasefire in Kiev was due to begin, foreign media reports say.

Missile and drone attacks have hit a Ukrainian state gas storage complex in the Poltava and Kharkiv regions, Sergei Koretsky, the CEO of the country’s state energy company Naftogaz, has confirmed. He says the attack has caused severe damage and could reduce gas production.
