The Sri Pali Campus of the University of Colombo has been converted into the Faculty of Mass Communication of that university. The relevant gazette notification has been issued by the Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Dr. Harini Amarasuriya.
Accordingly, the Department of Mass Communication Studies, the Department of Language Studies, the Department of Computer Studies and the Department of Performing Arts Studies have been gazetted as its departments.
