A new Gazette Notification No. 2142/35 dated 29th November 2024 has been issued regarding the Sripalli Campus of the University of Colombo. It has added a new Faculty and four departments to the Sripalli Campus.
The Gazette Notification issued by the Minister in Charge of the Subject, Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya, has amended the Schedule to the Gazette No. 928/16 dated 20th June 1996, which had been issued indicating the faculties and departments of the Sripalli Campus.
Accordingly, Column 1 of Gazette No. 928/16 has been removed to create a Faculty of Journalism, and Column 2 has been removed to create the Departments of Journalism, Languages, Computer and Performing Arts Studies in Sri Pali.
