Workers around the world are celebrating International Workers’ Day today.
A number of Labor Day celebrations have been organized in Sri Lanka in conjunction with World Labor Day. Various political parties and many trade unions affiliated to them have organized these celebrations.
The United National Party as well as the Samagi Jana Balavega have organized May Day celebrations in Colombo and Nuwara Eliya. Apart from this, National People’s Force is also scheduled to hold May Day celebrations in Anuradhapura and Colombo.
