The Wellawa Police and the Kurunegala Divisional Crime Investigation Bureau have commenced investigations to arrest the suspects in the crime of shooting and killing a person residing at Wasala Apartment, Maraluwawa in the Wellawa Police Division with a T56 firearm on the night of December 24.
The Police Headquarters says that Acting Inspector General of Police Priyantha Weerasuriya has decided to offer a reward of one million rupees from the Police Reward Fund to anyone who provides information on the suspects involved in this crime.
It is also stated that the Sri Lanka Police will take steps to protect the confidentiality of those who provide such information.
