It is reported that former Deputy Minister Palitha Thevarapperuma has died due to electrocution this evening.
He was electrocuted while trying to connect two electrical circuits in his house and died after being admitted to Nagoda Hospital. Born on May 3, 1960, Thevarapperuma is a former MP of UNP. In 2015, he held the positions of Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, North West Development and Cultural Affairs and Wildlife in the Good Governance Government.
