Dr. Chamal Sanjeeva, President of the Medical and Civil Rights Medical Association, emphasizes that he has informed the Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration about the slow pace of investigations against high-ranking officials of the Ministry accused of serious irregularities.
While the investigation unit of the Ministry of Health has looked into many of these incidents, Dr. Chamal Sanjeeva mentions that some additional secretaries in higher positions related to the ministry and public administration service do not forward these investigation reports to the Public Service Commission.
He highlights that this situation has arisen in connection with several issues, including the suspected transaction of cancer drugs and immunoglobulin.
