Court of Appeal Judge D.N. Samarakon today adjourned the bail hearing of Dr. Kapila Wickramanayake, Director of the Medical Supply Division, and former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, who have been remanded in custody on suspicion of purchasing substandard antibody vaccines, until the 14th of this month.
Accordingly, the judge ordered the case to be called again on the 14th of this month before a panel of judges including the presiding judge Nishanka Bandula Karunaratne.
The judge also mentioned that since there is not enough time to prepare the order due to the retirement of the judge, he will direct the presiding judge to take a suitable decision. Accordingly, those two petitions are scheduled to be called again on the 14th.
