Senior lawyer Kaushalya Navaratne, who was recently elected as the new President of the Sri Lanka Bar Association for the year 2023 – 2024 without a poll, assumed his office yesterday.
Meanwhile, the election to elect 13 members of the Bar Association’s Executive Committee was held this morning at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall in Colombo.
President’s Attorney Salia Peiris, who was the previous president of the Bar Association, and Attorney General Sanjay Rajaratnam were also present on the occasion.
