The Sri Lanka Navy Media Spokesperson says that all passengers in the bus that was caught in the flood on the Kala Oya Bridge on the Anuradhapura-Puttalama road have been rescued safely.
After the bus stopped on the bridge, three naval personnel arrived at the scene and first lifted the passengers onto the roof of the bus. The group was then lifted onto the roof of a nearby house. The Sri Lanka Navy Spokesperson further said that there were 67 passengers on the bus, including a foreign woman, and all of them have been successfully rescued by security forces.
