A Facebook live video showing a young man committing suicide has attracted the attention of many people.
The body of the young man who broadcasted a live video of himself hanging himself on his Facebook account has now been deposited at the Elpitiya Hospital morgue, according to the Karandeniya Police. The person who committed suicide has been identified as a 35-year-old resident of Thalgawatta, Karandeniya. .
The Karandeniya Police have launched an investigation into the matter based on a complaint received on the 119 emergency number and the Police Media Division says that the reason for the young man’s suicide has not yet been revealed.
