Indian Vice President Sri C.P. Radhakrishnan, who is in Sri Lanka on a two-day official visit, has met President Anura Kumara Dissanayake. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has recorded in its X account that this meeting took place at the Presidential Secretariat.
The statement said that during the meeting, the historical and cultural values rooted in the two countries were discussed in depth and the cooperation between the two countries was further strengthened.
As a continuation of the recent high-level diplomatic engagements between Sri Lanka and India, the Indian Vice President, Sri C.P. Radhakrishnan, is also scheduled to hold bilateral talks with the Prime Minister, Dr. Harini Amarasooriya.
The Indian Vice President, who is scheduled to meet the Indian community in Sri Lanka, is also expected to visit the Bambalapitiya Kadireshan Kovil and the Hunupitiya Gangaramaya Temples to perform religious rituals and seek blessings.
On the second day of this official visit, tomorrow (20), the Indian Vice President will visit the housing projects being implemented in Sri Lanka under Indian assistance in the Nuwara Eliya area, and is scheduled to meet the Malayagam community there.
After participating in religious rituals at the Nuwara Eliya Sita Amman Temple, Indian Vice President Sri C.P. Radhakrishnan is scheduled to leave Sri Lanka, concluding his two-day official visit.
