Shiranthi Rajapaksa, the wife of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, has been arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption.
She was arrested in connection with a joint investigation currently being conducted by the Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) of the CID and the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption regarding the financial transactions of the ‘Siriliya Saviya’ organization.
