The Central Bank announces that the foreign remittances received by Sri Lanka show an increase.
Accordingly, the foreign remittances received in May 2024 were 544.4 million US dollars. Also, the accumulated value from January to May 2024 is shown as 2,624.4 million US dollars.
The Central Bank further states that it is an increase of 11.8% compared to January-May 2023.
