The President’s Media Division has issued a press release saying that the preliminary work for the evaluation of the A-level Tamil medium answer sheets has started today (21).
Accordingly, it is mentioned in the announcement that the process of adopting the marking procedure of the control answer sheets in relation to several subjects is currently underway.
Commissioner General of Examinations H.J.M.C. Amit Jayasundara mentioned that the activities have been started in relation to the subjects of Hinduism, Christianity, Hindu Civilization, Indian Dance, Oriental Music, Carnatic Music, Western Music, Art, Drama and Theater Arts and Hindi.
The Commissioner General of Examinations further stated that these activities will be carried out at the answer sheet evaluation centers in the cities of Jaffna, Colombo, Batticaloa, Gampaha, Kalutara and Kuranegala.
The evaluation of the answer sheets was delayed due to the strike of university teachers. President Ranil Wickramasinghe said yesterday that education is an essential service and those who avoid examination duties will be punished. Below is the notification issued in this regard.
