The European Union election observers who have come to the island have met with the Northern Province Governor P.S.M.Charles and engaged in a discussion.
It is reported that in this meeting held at the Northern Province Governor’s office in Jaffna, the current situation in the Northern Province related to the presidential election, the measures taken to hold a free and fair election were discussed.
The governor has informed the European Union election observers that all arrangements have been made in the Northern Province to conduct the election fairly.
