The Colombo High Court today ordered the release of Daisy Forrest the grandmother of Yoshitha Rajapaksa from the case in which she had been charged alongside him under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
The judge issued this order after considering medical reports indicating that the defendant lacks the mental capacity to face a trial.
Meanwhile, Yoshitha Rajapaksa pleaded not guilty today before the Colombo High Court to the charges filed against him under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
