The eldest son of Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway has been sentenced to 4 years in prison for rape, foreign media reports.
Prince Marius Bøg Høyby was arrested in 2024 on charges of rape and the sentence was imposed by the Oslo District Court.
He was charged with rape and domestic violence, but was found guilty of only two of the charges. It is reported that the Crown Princess’s son’s lawyers plan to appeal the sentence.
