Sources at the Judicial Service Commission say that a series of extensive reforms are underway with the aim of increasing the efficiency and transparency of the judicial system.
In the past ten days, the Judicial Service Commission has taken steps to suspend six judges who have been accused of various charges. Among those suspended are three magistrates who were serving their probationary period.
In addition, the Commission has received complaints against more than seventy judges, and investigations are scheduled to be conducted into all of these complaints.
The Judicial Service Commission has paid close attention to maintaining the professional dignity of judges. The Commission is also preparing to issue a series of special instructions in this regard.
