CID does not have video footage of the day Suresh Salle was searched.

The CID has informed the Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka that it does not have video footage of the day when former National Intelligence Chief Suresh Salle, who is in the custody of the CID, was publicly searched in front of other suspects.

The CID has stated that only video footage from a month ago is available in the database and that there is no footage of the search conducted on March 8. Accordingly, the Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka has focused its attention on obtaining computer assistance from another party to obtain the relevant footage.

Several more reports related to the investigations conducted regarding Suresh Salle have been requested from the CID and it is reported that they have been informed to provide these reports before the 26th.

The CID officers who were summoned before the Human Rights Commission have admitted the allegation that Suresh Salle was publicly searched.
