Nuwara Eliya Magistrate Pushpika Jayadasa ordered the release of former Ratnapura District Parliamentarian Premalal Jayasekara (Choka Malli) on bail.
Premalal Jayasekara was arrested by the Nuwara Eliya Police yesterday (21) on charges of threatening to kill by brandishing his firearm during a dispute between two groups.
The Magistrate, who ordered the suspect to be released on a cash bail of Rs. 25,000 and a personal bail of Rs. 1 million, ordered the case to be recalled on September 14.
