A Chinese ship is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka tomorrow, said Cabinet Spokesperson, Minister of Health Nalinda Jayatissa. The ship is scheduled to assist the country’s healthcare system and will remain in the country for a week from tomorrow, he said.
The ship, which will have approximately 200 medical personnel on board and will support the country’s healthcare system, he added.
The ban imposed by the previous government on research vessels has now been relaxed and the government will consider requests made by foreign research vessels separately, he said.
