No agreement was reached on the ETCA agreement or the proposed oil pipeline to be built between India and Sri Lanka during the President’s visit to India, says Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath.
He says that the discussion on building an oil pipeline between India, Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates is not new. He also stated that his government has only agreed to take forward the discussion that has been going on for some time.
He says that although there was an agreement to further discuss the ETCA agreement, the agreement has not been signed.
