Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Chi Wan Hong said that 100 modern luxury electric buses will be provided soon.
He stated that this decision was taken with the aim of minimizing the huge environmental pollution caused by the use of fuel. The ambassador also stated that the cost of a bus planned to be provided in this way is about US $ 225,000.
The Chinese Ambassador said this while meeting the Maha Thero of the Malwathu and Asgiri Ubhaya Chapters today (22).
