The Archbishop of Colombo, Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, has filed an interlocutory petition in relation to the petition filed by former Director of the State Intelligence Service Suresh challenging his arrest and detention under the Prevention of Terrorism Act in connection with the Easter Sunday bombings.
The Cardinal is requesting in his petition that he be allowed to intervene and present his case in the petition filed by Suresh Salle and that the relevant petition filed by the former intelligence chief be dismissed without hearing it.
