The Chairman of the Lanka Private Bus Owners Association, Gemunu Wijeratne, says that he has filed a complaint with the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for defamation on social media based on a statement he made regarding the metro bus project.
He says that although transportation is a very broad subject, he feels sorry for people who criticize it by looking at only the surface.
He said that he doubts whether the youths who criticize the transportation sector today have even gone to school, and that he can provide information about transportation if they want.
He also states that he had previously submitted a written proposal regarding the metro bus project, which has become a very popular topic these days.
