The Attorney General informed the Colombo High Court today that an appeal has been filed against the recent court order that the charges filed under the Prevention of Terrorism Act against notorious drug trafficker ‘Harak Kata’ and several other defendants cannot be continued any further.
The case was taken up before Colombo High Court Judge Buddhika C. Ragala today (20). The State Counsel, who presented evidence before the court, stated that the Attorney General has filed an appeal against the previous ruling.
The appeal has challenged the court ruling on the maintainability of the charges filed under the Prevention of Terrorism Act against ‘Harak Kata’ and other defendants.
