Asian Paints Causeway and SLADA celebrate                              a successful close to the Gajaba Supercross 2025

The Asian Paints Causeway SLADA Racing Championship 2025 continued to captivate motorsport fans with the successful conclusion of the Gajaba Supercross 2025 at Saliyapura, Anuradhapura.

This year’s event saw thrilling victories across multiple categories: Ashan Silva dominated the Group SL-S Cars up to 3500 cc class, while Jacques Gunawardena clinched the Group SL-H Cars up to 2000 cc title. On two wheels, Infantryman Senevirathne of the Gajaba Regiment (Volunteer), riding in the Supermoto up to 500 cc class, took first place. With 24 races unfolding at breakneck pace, the crowds were treated to a true spectacle of speed, skill, and competition.

Asian Paints Causeway’s sponsorship of the championship is rooted in its commitment to the revival and long-term growth of Sri Lankan motorsport. The brand’s alignment with racing goes beyond visibility – motorsport embodies performance, precision, innovation, and resilience, values central to Asian Paints Causeway’s Auto Refinish product line and its role as a leader in the automotive coatings sector.

For decades, Asian Paints Causeway has supported the country’s automotive industry, helping uplift technical standards and equipping workshops with world-class refinishing solutions. Through initiatives that connect with vocational training, industry partnerships, and the motorsport stage, Asian Paints Causeway continues to invest in building local expertise and giving young talent a platform to thrive.

Vaithilingam Kiritharan, Country Head, Asian Paints Sri Lanka, noted “At Asian Paints Causeway, our sponsorship of SLADA Racing is more than corporate support—it is a commitment to resilience, progress, and the future of Sri Lankan motorsport. The Gajaba Supercross captured that spirit, celebrating both the passion of seasoned racers and the promise of emerging talent. We are proud to play our part in bringing communities together through this shared passion.”

With the Gajaba Supercross now concluded, the championship looks ahead to its next event on 30th and 31st October, promising another weekend of high-octane racing. Together with the successful Katukurunda and Walawa Supercross meets earlier this year, the series reflects Asian Paints Causeway’s unwavering commitment to reviving and sustaining Sri Lanka’s motorsport heritage in 2025 and beyond.
