The execise department has decided to increase the number of licensed liquor shops by another 470. Accordingly, the number of liquor stores in this country is going to increase from 1108 to 1578.
The government is ready to submit the relevant gazette notification for these new liquor licenses to Parliament soon for approval.
The execise Commissioner General of states that the gazette announcement related to determining the number of liquor shops has not been revised in the last 15 years.
