Kegalle District Secretary Jagath M. Herath says that A/L students in the Kegalle and Mawanella areas, where examination centers are located around Kandy city, have the opportunity to write the examination at the nearest examination center if they have difficulty traveling there.
He stated that only students who cannot travel to the examination centers using alternative routes by private vehicles and students who have difficulty using the railway can use the nearest examination center.
He also requests all those who are able to travel to Kandy to go to their examination centers and participate in the examination as there are only a limited number of question papers at the examination centers.
Therefore, he also said that only in case of extreme inconvenience should the nearest school be used as an alternative. He further said that the road will not be opened until this risk is eliminated.
