A latest American intelligence report reveals that China is implementing new strategies to spread its power in several countries of the world, including Sri Lanka, under the program of strengthening its People’s Liberation Army. This is stated in the report titled “US Intelligence Community 2024 Annual Threat Assessment”.
“Not stopping at developing its military base in Djibouti and its military facilities at Reem Naval Base in Cambodia, China has expanded its military presence in several countries, including Burma, Cuba, Equatorial Guinea, Pakistan, Seychelles, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Tanzania and the United Arab Emirates. The report indicates that efforts are being made to confirm it, and it may lead to a change in regional power.
The Beijing regime has decided to build its People’s Liberation Army into a fully modernized national defense and military force by 2035. Accordingly, the report further indicates that there are preparations to make it a world-class army by 2049.
The report also says that China, Iran and Russia are making a decisive impact on the existence of the future world, and those countries are challenging the international legal system.
