The Disaster Management Center warns that there is a risk of the Ambatale flood control dam overflowing as the water level of the Kelani River continues to rise.
According to the Disaster Management Center, residents living on the embankment, Malabe-Kaduwela main road and nearby low-lying areas have been asked to immediately evacuate to safer places.
