A special program has been prepared for Sugath Wasantha de Silva, the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Visually Impaired Graduates’ Association, who has been elected as a National List MP of the National People’s Power, says Parliamentary Secretary Kushani Rohanadheera.
Accordingly, she says that all arrangements have been made for MP Sugath Wasantha de Silva, including seating arrangements, entering the chamber, and voting.
Steps have been taken to allocate him the seat closest to the entrance to the chamber from where the ruling party MPs are. At the time of voting, he will be able to express his wishes using his voice according to the standing orders.
Attention is also to be paid to providing all documents under the bail system. An assistant has been appointed for MP Sugath Wasantha de Silva and he will assist in carrying out the necessary work at the Parliament complex.
It is also reported that all relevant facilities have been planned to be provided when participating in committees.
