A warning for Sri Lankan pilgrims traveling to Saudi Arabia.

The Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Jeddah has issued a warning, noting that the escalating war tensions in the Middle East region could potentially disrupt flights operating to and from Saudi Arabia. Consequently, the Consulate advises Sri Lankans planning to undertake the Umrah pilgrimage to exercise caution and remain vigilant when making their travel arrangements. In a statement issued on October 13, the Consulate advises pilgrims to maintain close coordination with their respective Umrah group representatives or travel agents when planning their journeys.

Furthermore, the Consulate recommends that pilgrims ensure their travel plans include appropriate contingency or alternative arrangements to address any unforeseen circumstances that might disrupt their trip.

This advisory highlights the importance of staying consistently updated on current conditions and maintaining ongoing communication with travel organizers while preparing for a journey to Saudi Arabia for the Umrah pilgrimage.
