The authority denies the rumors that the research division of the Civil Aviation Authority is preparing to recover 19 of the 25 aircraft of King Ravana, which are said to be hidden in 25 locations.
When our website asked the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL) about this matter, they stated that a detailed statement regarding the news has been posted on their Facebook page. The statement has been issued under the signature of the Director General of Civil Aviation (Acting) Rehan Wanniyappa. Accordingly, upon investigation, it was confirmed that the institution is not involved in any activities related to the aircraft of King Ravana.
The statement further states that the news published by several major websites in the country and circulating on some media platforms, claiming that the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL) is planning to “find 19 aircraft linked to King Ravana”, is completely false and baseless.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka has not made any such statement and is not currently involved in any such project, the statement further states.
