Hong Kong police have arrested two Sri Lankan and Indian women for allegedly trying to take a selfie in a storm, endangering a child. The mother of the child is Indian.
The impact of Cyclone Ragasa, which is heading towards China, is also affecting Hong Kong these days. Therefore, the country’s disaster management authorities have issued warnings to residents of the country to stay in safe places and stay away from coastal areas. Despite these warnings, the mother, who has Indian roots, went to take a photo of the storm with her child.
The selfie was taken by the Sri Lankan woman, who is a friend of the Indian woman.
As they were taking the photo, a wave suddenly broke through and swept away all three, and all three were immediately hospitalized. It is said that there is no danger to their lives.
However, despite issuing warning signals, the two women have been arrested by the Hong Kong Police for allegedly endangering a 5-year-old child and taking this photo.
