A proposal to give the opportunity to all student to study A/L without passing the O/L

Speaking to Parliament today, Member of Parliament Dallas Alahapperuma said that based on the situation of school children, all children should be given a certificate to study advanced level without having to take the O/L examination in one year.

He said that this is a proposal that needs to be considered as a group of about six lakh school students were stuck after appearing for the Pella exam and unable to move forward. Accordingly, he said that it is appropriate to give a certificate through the examination department to all those children without conducting the ordinary level examination for one year.

He said that if this work is done for one year, then the examination schedule can be implemented again in the old way.
