Mount Lavinia Magistrate Pasan Amarasena yesterday (19) ordered a fine of Rs. 2,500 and a mandatory two-month prison sentence to a person who was caught transporting 65 liters of petrol in a lorry without a license.
The Wellawatte Police have arrested a suspect near the fuel station based on information received by the Wellawatte Police that a stock of fuel was taken from a fuel station in the Wellawatte area.
The suspect arrested is a resident of the Badowita area in Mount Lavinia.
