A mercenary attack on Russia.

According to foreign media, the fighters of the Wagner private mercenary group have captured several regions of Russia. It is reported that this group of mercenaries attacked the southern military headquarters in the city of Rostov-on-Don in Russia this morning and no one was seriously injured due to minimal opposition from the army.

Yevgeny Prigoshin, head of the Wagner Group, says his troops did not need to fire a single shot when they took control of the headquarters of Rostov in Russia’s Southeastern Military District.

He calls his mission the “March of Justice.” He says that he thinks that it will get the support of the Russian people. An armored convoy belonging to the Wagner mercenary group passed through the Russian city of Voronezh on Saturday afternoon, Reuters reports.

Rebel Russian mercenary chief Yevgeny Prigozhin says his men will not turn in on President Vladimir Putin’s orders. “The president is making a deep mistake when he talks about treason. We are patriots of our motherland, we fought for it and are fighting for it,” Prigoshin said in an audio message.

“No one is going to turn and confess on the order of the president, the FSB [security service] or anyone else. Because we don’t want the country to live on corruption, fraud and bureaucracy any longer.” Prigoshin added.

Prigoshin says that these mercenaries played a leading role in the invasion of Ukraine, and that the Russian army only built bases on the land occupied by the U.S.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says, “It is a fateful event that the mercenaries used by Russia to invade their country are now invading the same country.
