Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe says that despite doing politics on both sides, there was no personal enmity between him and Lohan Ratwatte.
Mr. Ranil made this statement to the media after paying his last respects to the late Lohan Ratwatte.
“I have known Mr. Lohan Ratwatte since that time. We did politics on both sides. But there was no personal enmity between us.
Also, during my presidency, he served as the Minister of Plantations. He did those duties well. He had a good political future. But this is how fate works.”
