A great flood ravages Afghanistan. 315 to death. 1600 injured.

Foreign media reports that 315 people have died and more than 1,600 people have been injured due to flash floods caused by heavy rains in northern Afghanistan.

Thousands of houses have been damaged and a large number of animals including cattle are reported to have died. There are reports of large numbers of people staying near refugee camps run by the Taliban and the risk of disease spreading.

It is reported that Nahrin district of Baghlan province has been seriously damaged and the highest number of deaths will be reported from that area. Relief workers say that many roads have been covered with mud layers due to the floods, and therefore it has become difficult to reach many places.
