A tractor travelling from Nindavur towards Samanthurai overturned in the flood, leaving 6 boys missing. The group was travelling home from Nindavur Madrasa School when the accident occurred.
There were 11 children in the tractor at the time of the accident. Five of them were rescued by the locals. The missing children are residents of Samanthurai area and are between the ages of 12 and 16.
The police and the locals are jointly conducting operations to find the missing children.
