There have been continuous accusations that the government does not allocate money for development projects and ignores the proposals of MPs representing the opposition.
However, the government has allocated funds for 85 projects proposed by Colombo District Member of Parliament Harsha de Silva. The allocated amount totals 50.2 million rupees.
Funding has been allocated for development proposals submitted directly by Members of Parliament to the President.
