Sri Lanka has imported 67,964,160 kg of wheat flour in the year 2022, says the Minister of State for Finance Ranjith Siyambalapitiya. The cost for this is 30 million dollars.
The state minister said that the annual per capita consumption of wheat flour in the country, divided by the amount of imported flour by the population of the country, is about three kilograms.
The minister said this while presenting several excise duty announcements and import and export regulations for the approval of the parliament.
