According to the Ministry of Health, 146 types of drugs which were in short supply in the country have been imported under Indian loan assistance. Its Additional Secretary Dr. Saman Ratnayake said that hospitals are currently short of only 12 types of medicines.
He expressed confidence that the medicines which are currently in short supply have been ordered and they will be received in the country in the next few weeks.
