197 countries kicked off Sri Lanka’s football .

The General Assembly of the World Football Confederation was held today in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda, with the participation of 208 countries. In the report, 197 countries have voted in favor of the proposal to ban Sri Lanka from voting in the International Football Federation.

Foreign media say that only one country has voted against it, 8 countries have abstained from voting, and the resolution has been passed with the majority of votes.

The International Football Federation has taken this decision considering the improper influence of the Ministry of Sports of Sri Lanka, violation of the independence of the game, arbitrary imposition of new regulations, unilateral violation of the agreed official election road map for conducting fair elections.
