A large-scale online fraud ring has been busted in a raid targeting several lodges in the Anuradhapura and Mihintale areas, it has been reported.
126 Chinese nationals, four Myanmar nationals and four Taiwanese nationals have been arrested for committing these fraudulent acts.
The raid was carried out jointly by a group of officers from the Military Intelligence Unit and the Department of Immigration and Emigration.
